The platform connects voice talent with companies looking for voices for commercials, videos, animation, audiobooks, e-learning, games, podcasts, phone systems, and other projects.

You start by creating a profile and uploading voice demos that show the types of work you can perform. A free Guest membership lets you create a profile, upload unlimited demos, and receive private invitations from clients.

Premium members get more ways to find paid work. They can respond to matching job postings, audition for projects, and create packages that clients can browse and purchase directly.

Your profile is an important part of the process. Clients can listen to your demos and decide if your voice fits their project before hiring you.

You can quote a fixed project price or set an hourly rate, depending on the job. Your rate can also depend on the script length, intended use, audience, and licensing terms. Voices provides a rate guide based on project type and usage.

One useful feature is SurePay. Clients pay upfront, and Voices holds the money while you complete the project. Once the work is accepted, the funds are released to you through PayPal. If the client does not release the funds, Voices says they are automatically released 14 days after the project deadline.

There is a fee for using the platform to respond to jobs. Voices currently charges a 20% platform fee against the talent quote when responding to jobs and when receiving additional payments.

The free membership is useful for getting started, but it has limits. You need Premium to respond to public job opportunities and create packages. Voices currently lists Premium at $499 per year.

That makes the platform more suitable for people who already have a good microphone, a quiet recording setup, and enough voice skill to produce professional demos.

You do not need to be a famous voice actor to use Voices. The platform has opportunities across many voice-over categories, but competition can be strong for popular projects.
