Clickworker is one of the most accessible data entry and microtask platforms available globally. It was founded in Europe in 2005 and has since built a workforce of over 6 million registered workers across more than 130 countries.

The platform covers a wide range of task types. Data entry tasks specifically include things like categorizing business listings, verifying addresses, entering product information, updating database records, and completing web research projects. These sit alongside other microtasks like image labeling, writing short descriptions, and app testing.

Getting started takes about 15 minutes. You register, complete a short profile, and then take brief qualification assessments to unlock specific task categories. The assessments are straightforward, and most people pass them without difficulty. Once you pass, you can start claiming available tasks immediately.

The standard data entry and categorization tasks pay in the range of $3 to $7 per hour equivalent. That is not going to impress anyone.

But within the Clickworker ecosystem, there is a much better-paying track called UHRS, which stands for Universal Human Relevance System. These are Microsoft-connected AI evaluation tasks that pay $8 to $15 per hour and are available to workers who pass the UHRS qualification assessments. If you are going to spend serious time on Clickworker, getting into UHRS is the goal.

Payments go out weekly via PayPal, which gives you a consistent and reliable rhythm. The app also lets you pick up tasks from your phone, which means you can do small bursts of work during commutes or downtime rather than needing dedicated work sessions.
