Wag!

Description

Wag! is a pet care platform that connects dog walkers, sitters, boarders, and trainers with pet owners who need help caring for their animals.

As a Pet Caregiver, you can earn money by accepting dog walks, drop-in visits, sitting, boarding, and other pet care services available through the platform.

You apply through Wag! and complete its screening process before accepting bookings. This includes a background check and pet safety quiz. Wag! also requires caregivers to be at least 18 and, for its current US application, a US permanent resident.

Once approved, you use the Wag! Pet Caregiver app to find and manage available work. You can choose bookings that fit your schedule rather than working fixed shifts.

Dog walking is one of the main ways to earn. You can also provide drop-in care, sitting, boarding, and certain training services if you have the right experience.

Wag! says caregivers set their own rates and choose which bookings to accept. Your earnings can therefore vary based on your rates, location, service type, and how much work you take.

Caregivers keep 100% of their tips. Service payments are handled through Stripe, which connects to your Wag! caregiver account.

The standard payout cycle runs weekly. Wag! says payments are processed on Wednesday and paid on Friday through Stripe, and eligible caregivers can also use Instant Pay for a fee.

The platform has practical limits, though. Wag! currently operates across 5,300+ US cities and all 50 states, so it is not a global online earning platform.

You also need to be comfortable handling pets in real life. This is not remote work, and some bookings require you to travel to the owner’s home or care for pets in your own home.

For people who enjoy working with animals, Wag! can turn pet care into flexible local income. It is best suited to people who already have some comfort around dogs and can meet the platform’s US eligibility rules.

Pay
You set your own rates, so earnings depend on your service prices, location, number of bookings, and the type of pet care you provide. Wag! caregivers also keep 100% of their tips.
