Skillshare Referral Program

Skillshare is an online learning platform where people can take classes covering subjects such as design, photography, writing, business, marketing, freelancing, and other creative skills.

Skillshare Referral Program gives teachers a way to earn extra income by introducing new paying members to the platform. You do not earn simply by sharing a link. The person you refer must become a paying Skillshare member for you to receive referral revenue.

The program is mainly designed for Skillshare teachers. Once you become a teacher, Skillshare gives you a general referral link that can promote your teaching profile and classes.

Each published class also has its own referral link. You can share these links through your website, blog, email list, social media accounts, or other channels where you have an audience. You can also refer people to classes created by other Skillshare teachers.

The current referral commission is 60% of the first year of membership payments made by a new member you refer, after applicable refunds and excluding taxes. The actual amount can vary because Skillshare membership prices differ by country. Skillshare may also offer additional referral incentives from time to time.

A referred person may receive a free trial where available. Skillshare currently states that teacher referrals can receive a 30-day trial, although this is not available in every market. India, for example, is currently excluded from the free trial offered through teacher referrals because of banking regulations.

Referral earnings are paid through Tipalti on or around the 16th of each month. Available payment options include PayPal, direct deposit, ACH, eCheck, and wire transfer, although the options offered depend on your country.

This program can work well for teachers, bloggers, creators, and other people who already have an audience interested in online learning. It is less suitable if you have no audience or do not want to become a Skillshare teacher.
