Automattic Affiliate Program

The Automattic Affiliate Program lets you earn commissions by promoting products from one of the companies behind some of the most widely used tools for websites and online businesses.

Instead of joining separate affiliate programs for every product, you can promote several Automattic brands through one affiliate account. These include WordPress.com, WooCommerce, Jetpack, Pressable, premium WordPress themes, and other participating products.

This makes the program particularly useful for bloggers, website owners, educators, YouTubers, software reviewers, and affiliate marketers who create content about websites, blogging, e-commerce, WordPress, online business, or digital tools. You can recommend products that naturally fit tutorials, reviews, comparisons, setup guides, and other helpful content.

The commission rates vary depending on the product. WordPress.com hosting currently pays 100% of the first-year plan up to $300, while Pressable also pays 100% of the first payment up to $300. WooCommerce Marketplace extensions and themes pay 30% on a customer’s first paid purchase and 10% on returning purchases. Jetpack pays 40%, while premium themes pay 30% on the first paid purchase and 10% on returning purchases.

The program uses a 30-day tracking window for many products. Pressable has a longer 180-day cookie period, giving affiliates more time to receive credit for qualifying referrals. Commissions are generally based on new customers for products such as WordPress.com hosting and Jetpack.

You do not need a WordPress website to apply. The program is open to different types of creators, including bloggers, educators, social media creators, review sites, and comparison websites. Applications are manually reviewed, so approval is required before you can begin promoting the products.

Automattic manages the affiliate program through Impact. Once approved, you can use the Impact dashboard to create tracking links, monitor clicks and conversions, and view your commissions. Impact also handles affiliate payments and related financial information.

The minimum payout threshold can be set as low as $10 in Impact. Available payment methods depend on your country and the options supported by Impact, with methods such as EFT and PayPal available in supported regions. Approved transactions can take time to lock before they become available for payment.
