Wix Partner Program

Description

Wix Partner Program is a program for freelancers and agencies that build websites for clients using Wix Studio.

It gives web designers, developers, and marketers several ways to earn from the work they do with Wix. Partners can earn revenue share, sell custom Studio templates, join the Wix Marketplace, and build websites for paying clients.

The main income source is client work. You can build websites for businesses, charge your own rates, and use Wix as the platform behind those sites.

Partners can also earn revenue share from eligible Wix plans and certain transactions made through Wix Payments on qualifying client sites. The current revenue share varies by product and partner level.

For example, Wix currently offers 20% revenue share on eligible Wix Studio yearly plans for regular Partners. Legend Partners can receive 30% on those plans. Some other Wix products offer revenue shares as high as 50%.

Another route is selling custom Wix Studio templates. Wix says Partners can keep 100% of the profits from approved template sales through its Marketplace.

Partners can also apply to join the Wix Marketplace. You need to reach Icon level, which currently requires 2,000 Partner points, before applying. Once accepted, you can get matched with potential clients looking for Wix services.

You earn Partner points by building and upgrading Wix sites or completing Wix Studio certifications. These points also unlock higher Partner levels and added benefits.

This makes the program more suitable for people who can actually build or manage websites. It is not a simple referral program where you share a link and wait for commissions.

Wix also has a separate Affiliate Program for publishers and creators who want to refer new Premium users. That program is different from the Wix Partner Program and should not be treated as the same earning method.

For someone with web design skills, the Partner Program can create several income streams from the same client work. You can earn from the website project itself, eligible Wix plans, templates, and other Partner services.
